VCC Program Questions

Question:

After finishing the ASL and Deaf Studies Program am I able to work as an interpreter?
Answer:

You must complete several years of training to qualify as an interpreter. The VCC program is the first step in that process. If you do not have sign language skills, you would need to complete a part-time course, PREP 010 before qualifying for the VCC ten- month, full-time program.

Afterwards, you may continue your studies at Douglas College in the two-year Sign Language Interpretation Program. The following link will provide more information on the Douglas College program:
