This Level 2 course is open to students in Grade 9 - 12. The course content will be an introductory course to Computer Assisted Design, Drafting and Animation. Credit earned will be MDD—11.

Full Description
Through project based learning, students will be exposed to elements of Architectural and Mechanical Drafting, 3D Solid Modelling and 3D animation. Students will spend time on a variety of software which include AutoCAD, Inventor, 3DS Max and similar CADD programs. Students of all experience and knowledge levels are invited to enroll into the class and build a strong foundation of skills in CADD related technical and practical skills or continue to build upon existing knowledge they have obtained through other coursework or personal experience. CADD is a course geared for students whom have an interest in careers such as: Architecture, Engineering, Graphic Design, Animation, Construction. In addition, students will be provided a wealth of opportunity, such as 3D printing, logo design and animated character renderings. Mandatory meetings at Palmer Secondary on Tuesdays and Thursdays 9:00-11:00am.
